In life, onyx jade is also used for decoration and embellishment, showing noble and gorgeous. The more expensive the stone, the more careful maintenance is needed. In particular, jade stones often have a phenomenon similar to craters on the surface after grinding.
This status quo is very common because the formation mechanism of jade is the continuous recrystallization of minerals at high temperatures and pressure. Fully formed is a complete mineral body. Insufficient formation shows this kind of debris structure.
Since this is the objective law of jade formation, this kind of collapse caused by the granular minerals is not uncommon, and it can be repaired if encountered.
1. Use transparent glue to make up the glue
When filling the gaps in jade, traditional marble glue cannot be used, but transparent glue should be used to fill it. Because the texture of jade is crystal clear, there is a kind of transparency that is different from ordinary stone, it will be very obvious after the marble glue is filled and dried, which affects the overall effect.
2. Skills required for jade grinding
Artificial diamond grinding discs will effectively improve the grinding effect of jade. However, due to the insufficient hardness of silicon carbide grinding discs, the grinding effect on jade may not be ideal. In addition, jade has high hardness and uniform and fine structure. If the number is skipped during grinding, scratches are easily formed, and subsequent grinding pieces will not be able to hold it. Therefore, the number cannot be skipped. Generally, starting from 50#, the operation is more even and finer when grinding. When grinding to 3000#, the jade itself can show good gloss.
Finally, the structure of the natural jade is uniform and dense, and the water absorption rate is very low. It has good waterproof and antifouling effects. Therefore, the construction of jade does not require protection. Even with protective agents, it is difficult to penetrate into the jade. It is both superfluous and wasteful.
Note: Some onyx jade has micro-cracks. In this case, the protective agent component can penetrate into these micro-cracks and also play a certain protective role. Especially in wet installation, the effect is more obvious. In general, when encountering a jade project, if it is a wall, there is no need for protection. If it is the ground, you can choose whether to protect it according to whether the stone has micro-cracks.
